Undone Beauty Review: Vegan, Cruelty-Free Affordable Makeup
If you’re a makeup minimalist on a budget, then keep reading for my Undone Beauty review. I feel like nowadays clean beauty is all the rage but very few brands offer an affordable price point, which makes me really excited about today’s post!
UNDONE BEAUTY REVIEW:
I was first introduced to Undone Beauty in 2019 (I did a sponsored post featuring a limited edition face roller) but this is my first time trying the makeup line. Here’s what I like about Undone Beauty – the products are super affordable, easy to apply and perfect for the makeup minimalist. The products are also vegan and cruelty-free.
If you love Glossier makeup, or find their price points to be too expensive, then Undone Beauty is a great, affordable alternative! I’m reviewing every products I’ve tried from the brand in this post.

Water Bronzer* ($10):
This is my favorite product of the bunch—it’s completely different from any other bronzer in my makeup collection. It’s a water-based bronzing stick (and infused with coconut water) that instantly adds color. I applied the stick directly to the areas the sun would naturally hit and then blended with a damp Real Techniques sponge. I’m wearing the shade Baked (a cool shade for those with blue, pink or red undertones). I highly recommend if you’re looking for an easy cream bronzer!
Water Highlighter ($10):
I’m such a sucker for highlighters, always have been. Similar to the Water Bronzer formula, this product has a cushiony texture for a perfectly dewy, natural looking highlight. I have the shades, Rose Lit and Cool Lit and it’s a VERY subtle highlight. It glides on the skin without issue and it’s not glittery at all. This feels incredibly light and silky. Rose Lit is definitely an affordable dupe to the Glossier Haloscope in Quartz and Cool Lit is comparable to Moonstone.
Water Blush ($10):
Undone is known for their water-based technology and now they’ve added Water Blush to their collection in a sheer, blendable formula. It has a dewy finish and similar to the bronzer and highlighter, it’s infused with coconut water. I have the shade Raspberry and the staying power is great but I do find it a bit sticky and it kind of tugs on my skin. I still prefer the cream lip and cheek compact.
Lip to Cheek Palette* ($14):
I really like wearing monochromatic cheek and lip looks. Similar to the concealer compact, the Lip to Cheek Palette also offers three finishes in one. I’m wearing the shade Rosewood in this post. Based on looks alone, I probably wouldn’t have opted for this shade; however, it didn’t look as intense as I was expecting on my fair skin tone. I applied a sheer amount to my cheeks and then blended with my fingers.
I really like the formula of this compact so I ended up purchasing another shade Rosy, which is a cool pink and most recently, Flare, a soft coral with cool undertones. I tend to use the medium finish (center row) so it gives my cheeks a beautiful looking flush, like I just went out for a run or something. 10/10 would recommend if you have dry skin!
Conceal to Reveal 3-in-1 Coverage Palette* ($14):
Most concealers have only one type of coverage (sheer, medium or full coverage). I never really need more than a sheer finish; however, when I have a blemish or unruly redness, it’s nice to know I can opt for more coverage with just one compact. The formula feels really weightless on my skin, like I’m not wearing any makeup at all! I found it easy to apply with both my finger and concealer brush. This is a decent dupe to the Glossier Stretch Concealer; however, the Undone concealer I would say has more of a natural/satin finish whereas Glossier has a dewy finish.
Curator Eyeshadow Quad ($10):
If you love soft, no makeup makeup, then these eyeshadow quads are right up your alley. Outfit Optional is the perfect everyday nude neutral. Pastel Me Everything is nice if you like a pop of color. I think these eyeshadows look best when I apply them using my fingers. For reference, I have fair skin with neutral leaning cool undertones.
Unscripted Instant Liner ($12):
This was my first time trying a felt tip liner with a stamp, which is supposed to make it easy for any cat eye look; however, I didn’t find this easy at all. The functionality of this product is that you can opt for a thin, thick or stamped application but I found it to be more difficult to creating a winged liner look. The tip is too thick. Listen to the other reviews and don’t purchase this.
Light On Lip ($10):
I love a good tinted lip balm. This one is a balm-lipstick hybrid that has a lustrous finish. I’m wearing the shade Coral Pop in the photo. It was very moisturizing on my lips and it only took a couple coats to pack on the color.
If I had to narrow down all the products I’ve tried to just a few favorites, then it would be the Lip to Cheek palette, Unscripted Instant Liner, the Water Bronzer and Highlighter.
Face and Body Palm Brush ($18):
This contoured brush stood out to me as something I could use for contouring and highlighting. It’s much bigger in person so it really only works best if you like bronzing your shoulders and collarbones.
As you can tell, I’ve tried quite a few products from the brand. If I had to narrow down my favorites, I would choose the Lip to Cheek Palette, the Water Bronzer and the eyeshadow quad.
